Quarterback with the Emerald Eyes -- Part 18 After dinner, the five of us sat down and talked, and my new family got to know a member of my old family. I couldn't have been happier. Mitch seemed to get along with everyone real well, and before the night was over, he and Todd ended up talking football and other sports they were into. Golf proved to be another favorite past time of them both. I was shocked. I never knew my brother liked golf. A few hours passed and over that time, Mitch told us how he was looking for his own place. Now that he had a steady job with a nice income, he wanted to get out of the house as soon as humanly possible. Especially after his recent discovery of how mom had handled my situation. He explained that he wanted to take responsibility for his own actions. Getting out of the house instead of mooching off the parents was his first step, at least in his own eyes, to becoming a man. He also told us about his plan of wanting to go back to school and major in either communications or art. Again I was surprised, but at least he had goals to work towards. I stayed quiet to allow mom, dad, and Todd to ask questions and would only talk during the down times, just to keep things rolling. Around eleven o'clock, he looked at his watch and said it was time for him to leave. I was sad to see him go, but understood with it being as late as it was. As we all stood to say goodnight, I asked him, jokingly, if he had a hot date to get to. "Actually, I do. I'm meeting my girlfriend at a club downtown. We're gonna dance and have a few drinks before heading home." "Wow, and here I was just kidding," I said. "Hey, it's cool. Maybe, if we get real serious, I can introduce her to you." "Sounds great," I said, giving him a hug. Todd shook his hand and told him he was glad to finally meet him, after all I had told about him. Mitch like-wised the sentiment, and offered a round of golf one weekend before Todd headed off to school. Todd smiled and said he would definitely be interested, just to let him know when. Mom and dad came over and shook his hand and told him it was a pleasure to meet him. Again, being the perfect gentleman, when he grabbed mom's hand, he brought it to his lips and kissed the back of her hand and told her it was a pleasure to meet her. I think this time she was expecting it so it didn't come across as a surprise. She smiled and told him it was also a pleasure meeting him. After shaking dad's hand, he looked at me again and pulled me into a hug. "Don't be a stranger, okay, little bro?" Pulling back, I smiled and said, "I won't. Maybe next week, you can come back, and we can go swimming." "Sounds great. I'll be pretty busy during the week, but maybe the weekend or something. You should be able to swim by then." He knew what he was doing and winked at me and smiled. I saw Todd look at me, puzzled, but I ignored him and walked Mitch out to his car. When we arrived, I said, "Thanks for coming Mitch." "Blake, thanks for asking me. You've got a great new family, and I like Todd a lot." He paused for a moment, then asked, "Is he treating you right?" "Yeah. I couldn't be happier." "Good. I just want you to be happy, so I am happy for you. Dad's sure gonna be sorry he missed coming tonight." I shuffled my feet for a moment and said, "Do me a favor? Don't tell him anything about tonight. Don't tell him I got upset. Hell, don't even mention you came over. If he asks, try to ignore him if you can. If he wants to know, he should have been here to find out for himself." "I won't say anything." He paused for a second, then asked, "Are you sure you're okay?" "I'm fine. I have you back. That's a major plus in my life. I don't need them to be happy." "They might come around, you never know," he said, opening the car door. I took a step back and said, "Yeah, but it may already be too late." He looked at me, then he got into the car. "If they come to their senses, I hope you'll reconsider that. We both know we never had the best parents, but they kept us safe. Well, up until the day mom kicked you out, they did." "I know, and I am grateful that they allowed me to live there and gave me food to eat. It's just that when someone tells your deepest secret to your own mother, you don't expect her to kick you out like trash." He put the key in the ignition, turned it for power only, and lowered the window then dropped his hand on his knee and closed the door. "I know, Blake. I just wish she would realize what she did was wrong. If she had any sense at all, she would know how much she hurt you." "She probably does and it probably makes her heart beat faster, with glee, every time." Mitch was about to say something, I would assume to bring me out of my funk, but I cut him off. "Listen, drive safe and don't be out too long. You need the beauty sleep." "Hey!!!" he said to me. I laughed and said, "I'm kidding, but I do like the new look. You should think about keeping it." "Don't count on it, bro." I smiled and waved him goodbye as he started the car. Driving down the driveway, he yelled out, "Love ya, Blake." "Love you, too," I yelled back. After watching his tail lights disappear down the street, I turned and walked back inside. When I arrived, Todd gave me a look and said, "We need to talk." Instantly, I got nervous. He has never said that to me before in that tone of voice. I wondered what I did. He grabbed two towels and headed out the back door. Mom and dad had already gone to bed, so I followed him, having nothing to stop me from doing so. Once outside, he dropped the towels on the table next to the pool and began to take off his clothes. Once I arrived, he asked, "So, are you going to swim with me?" I got nervous. He caught Mitchell's statement about maybe I'll be able to swim by next week. "Uh, no. I'm good." "Oh, come on," he goaded me. "You love to swim at night." "Nah, not tonight. I'm just a little too tired." Dropping his underwear, he said, "I think it's something else." Before I could say anything, he stepped out of the remains of his clothes and jumped in the deep end. "I think you're keeping something from me," he said, resurfacing. "Like what?" I asked. "Don't know, and that's what bothers me." At that statement, I felt guilty. "Okay, you want to know what I'm keeping from you? I'll tell you." I walked over and got a towel and put it on the edge of the pool and started undressing. Once completely nude, I sat on the towel and hung my legs over the side. "C'mere," I said to him. He swam to me and lifted himself out of the water, slightly and put his arms over my thighs to keep himself from falling back into the water. "Don't be mad, okay?" "Okay," he said, confused. I reached down and peeled the bandage off my tattoo and covered it with my hand. "I didn't want to show you until it was healed, but..." I removed my hand and he looked at it and his mouth dropped open. "Holy shit. When did you get that done?" he asked, not taking his eyes off of it. "This past Monday, right after you guys left. Kelly and I went to the parlor, and that's where I saw Mitch. We didn't run into each other in the mall. He did the tattoo for me." Todd reached up and ran his finger along the lettering of the tattoo then looked up at me and asked, "Why?" "Why?" I repeated. "Yeah. Why did you get my name?" "Because, I love you, that's why." I put my hand on his cheek and said, "Todd, you are the love of my life. I wanted something to remind me of that when I get depressed after you go away to New York." "Oh, Blake. If you're gonna have that hard of a time with it, I'll go to GSU." "My threat to you still holds true. I will not have you give up on a dream for me. If you don't go to NYU, I will leave you." "Blake, why is it so important to you that I go to New York?" "Why isn't it important enough for you to go?" "I asked you first," he said, not giving in. I gave a sigh and said, "Because, I don't want you looking at me in a few years and regret not going. Especially if we get into a fight or something. I don't want your looks at me to be filled with contempt." "That would never happen." "I don't want to take that chance. So, if I need to, I will leave you so you can fulfill your dream." He gave a smile and said, "You know I'd track you down, right?" "You won't have a clue where to look for me. I'd cut ties with everyone I know and love to make sure you couldn't find me." He pulled back, slightly, and looked at me. "I don't like where this conversation's going." "Why?" I asked, puzzled. "You leaving and me not being able to find you. People who love each other don't say that." "I don't mean it. It's just that I don't want you to not go to New York because of me. You promise me that you will go to NYU and I will never talk about it again." "Fine. I'll leave and go to school, but if you get depressed, you promise to call me. You won't be the only one getting depressed, you know." "I didn't think I would be, and yes, I'll promise to call." He gave a little kick off the side of the pool and lifted himself up with his powerful arms and kissed me. I put my arms around his neck and gave into the kiss for a few seconds. When I pulled back, he lowered himself back in the water and smiled up at me. "Lean back a little. Let me get a better look at it." I put my arms out behind me and rested my body on my hands. The light of the moon shone bright that night and it illuminated the ink and Todd looked at it more closely and shook his head. "I still can't believe you got one." He leaned in and kissed the still tender spot and it seemed, instantly, the pain was gone. He kissed my hip, all around the tattoo, then kissed his way up onto my stomach and over my abs, until I felt his tongue travel into my pubic hair. With my eyes closed and my face towards the sky, I smiled, knowing what he was going to do. Within a minute, my smile faded and my mouth hung open with the sensation from the pleasure he was giving me. After four days of not even thinking of sex because I found Mitch, and with Todd being so tired after his return from New York, it didn't take me long before I was climaxing. By the time my climax was done, my arms felt like Jell-O, trying to hold me up and keeping me from collapsing. Since I also enjoy the feeling of oral sex after my climax, I could have stayed there all night for Todd to do as he wished, but when he finally pulled off, he looked up at me, and my head tilted down from the sky, and I slowly parted my eyes to see him staring at me with a smile. "Damn, that was a big one." "Yeah, hadn't gotten off since last Sunday." "You didn't even jerk off?" he asked me. "No. After I found Mitch, I hadn't been in the mood. I've been too excited and nervous about tonight." "Shit, I had to jerk it a few times in the shower; I was missing you so much." "Hell, if I had known that, I would have taken some pictures and texted them to you for material," I told him, smiling big. "Damn, you're such a tease," he said to me. I laughed for a second and asked, "How the fuck am I a tease? You just got through sucking my cock." "I mean, I didn't even think of having you send me some pictures and you tell me this now, after I'm back from my trip." "Yeah, well, before you leave for good, maybe we can make that sex tape you were talking about." Todd's eyes had gone back to the tattoo and he had been looking at it when I said my last statement. When it registered what I said, his eyes flashed back up to mine and he smiled big, asking, "Are you serious?" "If you're a good boy, I don't see why not." He started shaking his head up and down really fast saying, "I'll be good, I promise, I'll be a good boy. I'll do anything to make that tape." I laughed again and pushed him back in the water. With him not having anything to put his feet on, he fell back and went under. Surfacing, he said, "What the hell was that for?" "You looked like a puppy begging for a treat. It was too funny," I said, still laughing. "Hey, well, now I know where I got the nickname from." He swam back over to me and lifted himself once more to kiss my lips. When he broke the connection, he lowered himself down to his original position with his arms over each of my legs. Looking at the tattoo, he said, "I wish you hadn't gotten that." My happiness, instantly, subsided and I looked at him questioning eyes. After I thought about his words for a moment longer, I got angry. "Get off me," I said, pushing him again into the water. Once free of his touch, I stood and walked away from him. "Hey, what's wrong?" he said, swimming to the shallow end to use the stairs to come after me. I stopped and turned and said, "I got this tattoo because of the love I have for you; and you tell me you wished I hadn't gotten it? That's a shitty thing to say. I only did it because I don't want anyone else. You're the only one for me." I watched him walk up the stairs and come to me. Before he touched me, my anger got the better of me and I blurted out, "Fuck you, Todd. I thought you would have been happy or flattered or something. I didn't know you would hate it." I turned to walk away, but Todd grabbed my arm and stopped me. "Whoa there, big boy. First off, you misunderstood me, and second, don't you think the `fuck you' was kind of harsh?" "No! I show my love to you and you say, `I wish you hadn't gotten it!'" I tried to pull away, again, but he pulled me to him with his powerful arms and wrapped them around me, locking my body against his own. "I said, you misunderstood me! I love the tattoo and I love the fact that you love me so much. What I meant to say is, you didn't have to get the tattoo because we will always be together. You didn't have to get it because I'll never leave you. I'll always love you and be here for you." My anger melted and I felt embarrassment flush over me. I was looking past his head to the water and didn't want to look him in the eyes after what he just explained. "Blake," he called for me to look at him. I turned my eyes towards his and said, "I'm sorry. I did take it the wrong way. The way you said it though, made it sound like you didn't care." "Yeah, I know, and I'm sorry. I should have said it differently." "No, you should have said it exactly how you did. I should have questioned you before I flew off the handle." "True," he said to me. With my arms locked under his arms, the only thing I could do was slap his back, which I did making a loud smack. "Owww, what was that for?" he asked me as he jumped away from the slap, giggling. "You didn't have to agree with me so fast," I said, showing a smile again. "What you said was true. How can I not agree with you if I do?" He leaned in and touched his lips to mine again and held me tight. I maneuvered my arms to wrap around his back, with his help, by him loosening his bear hug grip. During our kiss, I felt something touch my thigh and jumped, thinking it was a bug or something. When I looked down, I saw his erection starting to grow. "Damn, are you horny?" I asked with a smile. "Yeah, when have you known me not to be? But that's not the reason I'm hard. Just kissing you gets me excited." I looked at him and reached up and brushed his wet hair out of his eyes and said, "You sure know how to make me melt every time." "Yeah, I know what gets to you, but it's true." He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss and I said, "Yeah, I know." I lowered my head to his shoulder and we stood there, naked, him dripping with water, holding each other, swaying softly to the music the wind was making with the leaves. After a few minutes, with my head still on his shoulder, I said, "Todd?" "Hmmm?" he asked. "You know, if we're really quiet, I might let you put that to some good use tonight, after we get in bed." "Put what to good use?" he asked. "Your head." He pulled back with a confused look, asking, "My head?" I smiled and said, "Yeah, the little one." His eyes flashed recognition, and before anything else was said, he turned away from me, still holding my arm, and started pulling me into the house. I laughed and said, "But our clothes." "Fuck `em. We'll get `em tomorrow," he said with glee in his voice. I couldn't help but giggle knowing I was about to make him a very happy man. Our love making lasted most of the night, and when it was time to get up in the morning, we probably had only had about three hours sleep. Getting us out of bed wasn't a fun task, and unfortunately, it was dad's job this morning. He knocked at first, but getting no answer, he came in and found us in a tangle of limbs and sheets. He tried everything to wake us. He tried yelling at us, or rather talking to us in a loud voice, he shook the bed, and he sat and talked to us for a few minutes, but nothing worked. Todd and I were so tired that I snuggled back into him as dad was talking to us, and I believe I went right back to sleep. All I remember is waking to the feel of some cold water all over me. When my eyes opened, I saw dad there, laughing with an empty cup in his hand. I looked down and saw he had removed the sheet we were under and my body wet with the water, as well as Todd's. "Damn, dad. You didn't have to be mean," Todd said. "Mean?" he said, after his laughter subsided. "I've been trying to wake you guys for over half an hour. Mom has breakfast ready and we're just waiting on you two." "Next time, old man, how about getting on the bed and jumping up and down first, then turn to the water." "I did," he said. "The water was the second option, and it seemed to work." "No, you didn't," I said. "I would have woken up to that." "Well, I didn't jump up and down, literally, but I sat on the bed and shook it violently a few times, and you guys didn't budge." "Okay, fine. We're up now," Todd said standing and stretching. "Good, now go and pee and get rid of that thing," he told Todd. Todd looked down and saw his morning wood standing out in front of him. He looked at dad and grabbed it and gave him a `fuck you' face, before walking to the door. Dad laughed and looked at Blake. "You too, young man. Go and pee, and while you guys are there, get a shower too." "What about breakfast?" Todd asked. "It can wait for ten more minutes. Not to embarrass you guys, but you smell like sex and cum. I'm sure mom doesn't want to have to know about that." "Dad," I whined. I reached down and got the sheets and threw it over my head with embarrassment. I heard dad ask Todd, "What's wrong with him?" "I think you just embarrassed him. That's why we didn't get much sleep last night." "Believe me, I know. I heard you guys." "What?" I practically screamed, throwing the covers from my head. "Well, I wouldn't have, but I got thirsty last night and went down stairs to get some tea. When I came back, I heard some moaning. So, I knew what you boys were up to." "Oh shit," I said again, replacing the covers over my head. "Come on, Blake. Get up," dad said. "I will, once you leave. I got a pee boner and I'm already embarrassed enough." "Fine, I'll leave, but you guys be down in ten minutes, otherwise, I'll get a bucket this time." Dad left and Todd came to me and threw the sheet off and looked at me. "So, why are you embarrassed at showing your hard on?" "It's not that, he heard us having sex last night. That, on top of showing my hard on would have been too much embarrassment." "Okay, fine." He reached down and took my hardness in his hand saying, "Come on, get on up." "Oh, please don't touch. I gotta pee real bad." He let go and put his hand out for me to grab. We headed into the bathroom and emptied our bladders and took a quick shower to alleviate the smell of our passion from the night before, then put some shorts and a shirt on and headed down to breakfast. While eating, mom gave no recognition of hearing us, if she had, and my embarrassment had subsided so that I wasn't acting all weird in front of dad. Mom had made pancakes, bacon, eggs, grits with cheese and home made biscuits. When she pulled out real maple syrup, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I used to have real maple when I was younger, but my first mom stopped buying it and went with the cheaper stuff. It was never the same after that. So, when I took that first bite, it brought me back to that first time. "Wow, mom," I said, still with food in my mouth. "Blake, don't talk with your mouth full," she said to me. I chewed and swallowed and said, "This is better than what I remember Barbara making. Everything's delicious." She smiled at me and said, "Thanks, Blake." During breakfast, we made some small talk and dad asked what we had planned for the day. Before I could say anything, Todd spoke first. "I've got to go and talk with Mr. Avery about my last day and also pick up my paycheck." He had not mentioned it to me, so I asked, "How long will that take?" "Don't know, maybe a couple of hours. He also wants me to interview a couple of people with him so I'll know who I'll be training to take over for me." "Oh well, I guess I can't go with you on that one." Looking at the parents, I said, "Looks like I'll be hanging out with you guys." "Actually," mom started, "we have a lunch date with Kent and Charlie, Pax and Tristian, Lisa and Tom, and Mark and Ginny. You're welcome to come, but it'll be us old folks." "I appreciate it, but I'll see what Kelly's doing. See if she might be free. Maybe we could go to a movie or something." "Don't you dare go and see `The Deathly Hallows' without me," Todd said. "God, I won't. We already talked about it," I said, smiling at him. "I know, but I don't want her talking you into it or anything." "She won't. Who knows, maybe tonight we can go and see that, if you don't have anything to do after work." "Sounds good. Maybe a date, dinner and a movie." "Good, then I can cook for your mother tonight and have a date here at the house," dad said. "You, cook for me?" she asked. "Yes, ma'am. I was thinking tomato and cucumber salad, veal parmesan over butter noodles with buttered garlic bread and a nice bottle of red wine." "Sounds divine, but you don't know how to make all that," she said. "That's what recipes are for," he countered. "Okay, then. Seems like we have a date, which means you boys better find something to do tonight," mom said. "Yes, ma'am," Todd and I said together. After we finished breakfast, I helped mom clean up, and Todd headed over to the mall for work. When I was finished with the dishes, I called Kelly to see if she wanted to go to a movie or something. She said she did, and I told her what movie I couldn't see, but everything else was fair game. We decided on a chick flick and were going to meet at the mall in about half an hour. I changed into more appropriate clothes and saw mom and dad off for their lunch date with the other couples and then flipped through the TV channels for about twenty minutes before leaving. When I arrived at the mall, I walked in the entrance that Kelly and I agreed on, and once she saw me, she came over and hugged me. "How did dinner go last night?" she asked me. "It was great, once I got over the disappointment of dad not being there." "What? He didn't come? What about Mitch?" "Yeah, he showed, but dad disappeared." She put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Oh, Blake, I'm sorry." "I'm not worried about it anymore. I won't let him or mom get to me or hurt me ever again. I'm just done. They wanted me gone, so I'm gone." Kelly gave me those puppy dog eyes that, to me, said, `I feel so sorry for you,' but I knew that's not what she was thinking. "Thanks for the concern, Kelly, I do appreciate it, but like I said, I'm fine. I don't need them anymore." "I know, but they're your family." "No, Charles and Barbara were my family. Now, I have another family who actually loves me." "Don't forget about friends," she said, smiling at me. "And of course, the best friend a guy could ever want." I put my arm across her back, and we started towards the theater. Along the way, we passed the Discovery store, and I saw Mr. Avery at the register. I decided to pop in and say hey to Todd. Since Mr. Avery was working the register, I assumed they were on a break or something. I pulled Kelly into the store and walked up to the counter. "Afternoon, young man. How may I help you?" "Mr. Avery, I don't think you know me, but I'm Blake, Todd's friend." "Blake, the boyfriend?" I forgot Todd told me that he slipped up with Mr. Avery and told him. "Yes, sir." "Oh, well, it's nice to finally meet you," he said, extending his hand for me to shake. "And you as well, Mr. Avery." Turning to Kelly, I introduced her to him and then asked if Todd was available for a moment. "I'm sorry, Blake. He's not working today." "Oh, I know. He said he had some interviews you wanted him to sit in on. I just thought maybe, with you working the registers, you two might be on a break." In that instant, Mr. Avery gave a look of frustration, confusion and pity, all rolled into one. Shaking his head, he said, "I'm sorry, Blake. I don't have any interviews today." "You don't?" I asked. "Are you sure?" "Yes. I didn't have any scheduled all weekend. I'm actually filling in for my day person because she's sick. I couldn't have given any interviews." My face fell and I hurt inside my chest. "What about his paycheck. You give them out today, right?" "Yes, we do, but he hasn't been by to pick his up yet." I stood there in silence for a moment, before I thanked Mr. Avery and walked out the store. "Blake, don't jump to any conclusions. You don't know what he had to do today." "Obviously, it was something he didn't want me to know about," I said, anger filling my voice, fast. "In fact, I'm going to find out what he's doing." I reached in my pocket and pulled out my cell and called his number. After two rings, he answered. "Hey, puppy. I actually didn't think I was going to catch you. Are your interviews over?" "No, not yet. We're between interviews right now, so I'm in the mall, just walking around for about ten minutes or so, until the next applicant shows up." "Oh, okay. Well, I was calling to find out where you wanted to go for dinner tonight. Any idea?" "No, not right now. Any place you want to go is fine, or we can talk about it later." "Yeah, okay," I said sarcastically. He noticed the change in my voice and asked, "What's that supposed to mean?" Quickly, I recovered and said, "Nothing. I was agreeing with you. We can talk about it when we meet up, back at the house." "Okay, cool. Are you and Kelly going to a movie?" "Yeah, we decided to see a movie at the Midtown Arts Cinema. Small independent film. Just haven't decided which one yet." "Sounds fun. Wish I was with you. Let me know which one you saw. If it's any good, maybe you can see it again, with me." "Yeah, I'll do that. I'll be truthful with you on it and let you know." "I know you will. Listen, baby. Mr. Avery is waving me back in. Our next interview just arrived. I gotta go." I looked at Mr. Avery and saw he was helping a customer and said, "Okay, well, I'll see you after the movie." "Sounds good. I love you." "Yeah, you too. Bye." I hung up the phone before he could question me about saying you too instead of I love you too. The sad part was that Kelly was now the recipient of my ranting about the current events and about his lies. "Well, what did he say?" "Did you see Mr. Avery wave someone over?" "No," she said. "Funny. Todd said Mr. Avery waved him over for the next interview. I can't believe he fucking lied to me." "Blake, you don't know the reason why." "I shouldn't have to know the reason. He should never have lied to me in the first place. I can't fucking believe this." "Blake, please calm down. Don't let it ruin the movie for us." I looked at Kelly and thought she had about flipped. My boyfriend lied to me for some ungodly reason, and she wants to see the movie still. Then it hit me that I wasn't being fair. "You know, you're right. Nothing I can do about it until we both get home, since I don't know where his lying ass is. Let's go and watch the movie. I'll deal with this later." "You sure?" she asked me. I smiled and said, "Positive. I'll kick him in the balls later tonight, or I might bite his dick off if he asks me to suck it. Right now, we're gonna have some fun." "I am so glad I don't have a dick and am not your boyfriend that has made you angry." "Yeah, me too. I love you too much to take your balls." "I said dick." "I know. You don't have a dick, though. But you sure got some balls." She laughed at that statement and I couldn't help but laugh along with her. We headed over to the theater and got our tickets, went to the concession stand and got some popcorn to split, and we each got a drink. Throughout the movie, I couldn't concentrate. My mind kept wondering back to why Todd lied to me. The worse possible reason kept taking over my brain, and I couldn't shake it. I pictured him with someone else. Another guy. So completely lost in this thought, I didn't even hear the movie, and when everyone laughed, it brought me back to the present, and I told Kelly I needed to go and pee. Once outside, I paced back and forth for a few minutes before I grabbed my phone. I had his number in and was about to call it when I stopped myself. "I'll deal with it when I get home," I told myself. "Go back inside and watch the rest of the movie. Stop thinking he's cheating. It can't be that. It has to be something else." I closed the phone and dropped it back in my pocket and headed back to my seat. "Damn, that was quick," she said. "Yeah. Bathroom was empty." I watched the rest of the movie and actually got into it. I laughed when we were supposed to, and by the time the movie was over with, I had put Todd out of my mind. That is until Kelly mentioned him again. "What are you going to do about Todd?" she asked as she threw away the empty popcorn container. "Ask him to explain why he lied to me and ask where he was." "Are you going to do it calmly?" "Yeah. Yelling won't do anybody any good." "Good, remember that when you see him. I know you can lose your temper when you're mad." "Don't worry, I will." We parted ways back at the parking lot, and I drove straight home. When I arrived, I saw Todd's car in the driveway. I was furious again and ran up to the door. When I opened it, mom and dad were sitting on the couch. "Where's Todd?" I asked of them. "Upstairs," mom said. Looking at the stairs, I called, "Todd, get down here, right now." Mom and dad could tell I was angry and dad asked, "What's wrong?" "Todd lied to us, that's what. He wasn't at the mall. I was at the mall and stopped by to see him and he wasn't there. He didn't have any interviews with Mr. Avery." At that time, I heard Todd come down the stairs and before I could say anything he held up his hands and said, "Okay, I know you're mad, but let me explain." "You're damn right I'm mad. Where the hell have you been?" "I said, let me explain," Todd repeated. "Fine, explain things then. Explain why you lied to us, explain where you were, because I know for a fact you weren't at the mall. See, Kelly and I were at the mall when I called you, standing right out in front of your store. Mr. Avery said he didn't schedule any interviews for this weekend. Explain why you lied to me on the phone when I called. Explain where the fictional applicants were today when you... What the hell are you doing?" I asked. Throughout my rant, Todd had tried to cut in several times to talk, but when I wouldn't let him speak, he did something else that got my attention and silenced me. He unbuttoned his pants. "You won't let me talk, so I just gotta show ya." With that, he lowered his pants, still covering himself, but enough to remove the bandage to show me my own name. Seeing I was stunned speechless, Todd started talking. "It was going to be a surprise for tonight, but when I went by to pick up my paycheck, Mr. Avery told me you stopped by, and he told me about what I had told you. I explained why I used him in my lie, and he understood. I honestly never thought you and Kelly would go to the mall to the movies. I thought you would go somewhere else." "You were with Mitch, today?" "Yeah, I was. He did it." "Did what?" dad asked. "What are you talking about?" Todd came around the foyer table and showed them the tattoo of my name. "I got a tattoo this afternoon." "You did what?" mom asked, standing. "Why would you do that?" "Because I wanted to, and because it now matches Blake's." Her eyes shifted towards me and said, "What? You have a tattoo, too?" I lowered my head and said, "Yes, ma'am." "When?" "After y'all left on Monday." "What did you get?" I unbuttoned and unzipped my jeans and lowered them over my hip and showed her Todd's name. She and dad examined the tattoos and looked at us both. "Do you realize how stupid you guys are?" "Christine!!!" Don admonished. "No, Don. They were stupid for getting names. A tattoo, okay, I can see that, but each other's name. Why?" "Because we love each other, and because we're adults," Todd said. "Didn't seem like an adult decision to me. Todd, you're nineteen. Blake, you're eighteen. What if, God forbid, something happens and you guys break up? What then? What are you going to tell your next boyfriends?" I started speaking and cut Todd off. "I'm gonna tell him that Todd was my first true love and that if he can't handle that, then he doesn't need to be with me." Todd looked from me back to mom and said, "Yeah, what he said." "Was it a decision on a whim kinda thing, or did you think it over first?" "I've been thinking about it for a while. I knew I couldn't get one until I was eighteen, but I've been thinking about it for a long time. When the opportunity arose, I went and did it." Looking at Todd, she asked, "And what about you?" "A whim kinda thing. I didn't think about it until I saw that Blake had one. Then I wanted to prove my love to him too, so I went and got it done." She looked between us both and shook her head. "I hope you boys know what you've done. It's there forever, you know that right?" "Well, not technically. They have vanishing creams and laser removals and such," dad piped up. Mom turned around and gave him a death stare which was almost the same as telling him to shut up. I pulled up my pants, buttoned them, and went over to her and gave her a hug. "Mom, thanks for caring so much, really, but I love Todd. Nothing's going to happen between us. We've already talked about forever." "But still, if something should happen..." "It won't, mom," Todd said. "We love each other too much for anything bad to happen." She, once again, looked between us and then gave a soft smile and asked, "When did you boys get so smart?" "Well, we do have a lawyer raising us," Todd said. "And a realtor," I chimed in, not wanting dad to feel left out. "I'm sorry I called you boys stupid. I guess I was just shocked." "Yeah, we kinda figured that too," Todd said, smiling. "But, it also shows you care, and that means something, unlike some people I know," I said to mom. She looked at me with soft eyes and said, "Blake, I wish there was something we could do. I just can't imagine doing what your family did to you. I can't imagine what you must be feeling." I looked at all three of them and gave a smile and said, "I feel loved. That's all that matters. One family decided I wasn't good enough and another blindly opened their home to me and became my new family who loves me for who I am, not what I am. And you've already done the best thing in the world. You've accepted me, Todd, and our relationship. I couldn't ask for anything more." Mom pulled me into a hug again and said, "We love you as if you were our own. Don't forget that." "I won't," I said, smiling over her shoulder to dad. "So, dad, when are you going to start cooking for your date tonight?" Todd asked. "Soon," he answered, as mom and I broke the hug. "Just need to go to the store and pick up the missing ingredients." "Hey, Todd and I'll go for you. All we need is a list." "I can't beat that offer," he said, standing and going to the kitchen. "I'll have it ready for you in about fifteen minutes." "Great," I said. "We'll be back then." I grabbed Todd's hand and pulled him up the stairs. When we were in the room, I sat on the bed, unbuttoned his jeans, and pulled them down over his hip to look at his tattoo. "Sorry I got mad," I told him without looking up. "I understand why you did. I should have said that I was doing something as a surprise for you instead of lying to you." "Well, yeah, it would have been nice, but then again, if you can't surprise me without me going off the handle..." My words kind of trailed off, not knowing what else to say. For the past two days, I had mistaken his words as misunderstandings instead of questioning him. I guess I still felt a little self conscious about myself. He continued telling me that he had eyes for no one else, but I knew he could do a lot better than me. I guess that's another reason I'm in this situation. Do I give him that chance to find out if there's someone better out there for him? I was just so confused. "Just do me a favor," Todd started. I looked up and he said, "Before you get mad at something I might have done, ask me about it first, please. There might just be a good explanation, like today. If I don't have one, and it pisses you off, then you can be mad at me." "You're right. I should have asked instead of blowing up today, and even last night. I'll do better, I promise." "Good," he said, smiling down at me. I smiled back and lowered my gaze back to the tattoo. It was the exact same script, but the color was blue. His was slightly larger than the one I got, but I wasn't sure if it was because of the extra letter in my name or he just wanted it bigger. "Why did you go with blue?" I asked him. "Mitch told me that when you chose your color, you said it matched my eyes, so I wanted to do the same. I wanted it to match your eyes." I wrapped my arms around his lower back, pulled him into me, and put my head on his stomach and kissed his navel. "I love you," I told him. "I know. Me too," he said. With my nose on his skin, I could smell his pheromones, and my nostrils started to dance, and also, the scent sent signals to my groin, causing me to get excited. I couldn't help myself and wanted a little taste, even if we couldn't finish. I slowly brought my arms back to the front, unzipped the fly all the way, parted the fly and reached in his underwear and fished out his penis. "Blake, what are you doing? We need to be back downstairs in a few minutes." "I know, but I need to taste it. You got me horny, all of a sudden." "God, if you start, I won't want you to stop." "I know, I won't want to, but if we have to, just look at it as a preview for later tonight," I said, raising my eyebrows in rapid succession. I looked back at the prize before me and parted my lips and took him in my mouth. I loved taking his flaccid cock in my mouth and feel it get hard. That was on my top five of sexy things. To know I was giving him this pleasure, pleased me and to see the final results, when it was standing a full eight and a half inches out in front of him; I couldn't help but smile at my work. I was giving him pleasure and was getting in a good rhythm when dad called up the stairs that he had the list. Todd jumped at first, thinking dad was behind him, but then gathered his wits about him and said, "Ok, we'll be down in a second." He put his hands on my shoulders and gave me a push backwards for me to stop. I didn't want to and pushed against his hands. "Come on, Blake. This is torture. We have to stop; otherwise mom or dad might come after us." With his dick in my mouth, I shook my head back and forth to let him know I didn't want to. "See, this is why I didn't want to start this. Please forgive me." He put more force behind his push and this time I fell back on the bed with a big smile on my face. "Damn, that was good," I said to him. "Sometimes you can be a real pain in the ass, you know that?" he said to me. "A pain? All I wanted to do was blow you." "Yeah, knowing full well that we would have to stop before I was able to blow my load." "Well, if you were as horny as I am, you would have blown in a minute. You think I really wanted to stop? No, I wanted my protein milkshake for the day." I laughed at my statement, and he looked at me and shook his head. "You are twisted, you know that?" "And you're a nut, so I guess we're even." He stuffed his hard dick back in his underwear and buttoned and zipped his pants, and then he straddled me on the bed and lowered himself down with his hands on either side of my body. I was going to say something, but he gave me the shushing sound for me to stay quiet and then lowered his lips to mine. When he parted his lips, I put my arms around his neck to hold him to me. We ended up getting into it, and I was the one that had to end our passion so that we could get moving. During our make out session, I finally had to my head to one side, and Todd raised up to look at me with a question in his eyes. "We need to get going," I said, catching my breath. "I wish I hadn't volunteered us now. Damn, I'm as hard as a rock." Todd sat up and reached behind him to feel my crotch. "Yeah, you are. Feels tasty," he told me. "I wish you could taste it now, so I can get off." He rubbed my crotch a little longer and started to jerk me off. Right when I closed my eyes and tilted my head back, he let go and got off me. When I looked at him, he had his hand out. "You had to tell dad we'd do it for him, didn't you?" I saw the smug look on his face and I said, "Oh, shut up. I didn't know we were going to get into all this." "Yeah, well, next time, when we got time to play, how about you keeping your mouth shut?" Grabbing his hand, he pulled me to my feet as I answered him, "Yes, sir." Then I got a thought. "You know, for our date tonight, we could get a cheap hotel room, instead of going to dinner and a movie." "Hotels in this city are too expensive to rent for just a couple hours." "Well, I heard there's a little motel on Cheshire Bridge Road, in Midtown, that's kinda cheap and it's a cruising ground. We could leave our curtains open for people to watch." I was just joking with him but wanted to see his reaction. A smile slowly crept over his face, and I saw a new tent forming in his jeans with the thought of that. "I was kidding, damn. What is it with you about having sex in public?" "It's not public, per se, but the fact that someone's watching. Just hot to me, I guess. And how do you know about this motel?" "I work with a couple of horny gay guys. They tell me about all the places to play. I tell them that I'm taken and can't go to those places, nor would I want to if I was single, but I do like to hear about their adventures. It's kinda like living vicariously though them. And you know, maybe we can blow off Mitch next weekend and go back to the campground," I said in a suggestive tone. "Oh, shit. That just reminded me. You're grandmother's birthday party was moved to next weekend. Mitch told me to tell you. He wanted to make sure you didn't miss it." "Well, shit," I said, as my spirits fell. "But maybe the weekend after, we could..." he said, letting his words trail off. "Do not make any plans for the next weekend. We're going camping," I said, smiling big. "Yes, sir," Todd said, smiling even bigger. "It's kinda hot having someone watch us, huh?" "Fuck yeah," he said, grabbing my hand in his. "Boys?" dad called up to us. "Coming dad," Todd said, then leaned in and gave me another quick kiss before pulling me, reluctantly, out of our room and down the stairs. Once back in the kitchen, dad handed us the list and I made an announcement to them. "Next weekend, Todd and I are going to Savannah for my grandmother's eightieth birthday, and the weekend after, we're going camping." "Sounds good," dad said. "But what if your parents show up?" mom asked. "If you want to come, you're more than welcome." I knew what she was saying, but I wanted them to know that they were my parents now. Not those other people. Mom smiled and said, "Sorry, what if Barbara and Charles show up?" "I hope they do. Then I can torture them the whole time." "Blake, that won't be very nice," dad said. "He's right," said mom, "but how are you going to torture them?" Dad looked at mom as if she lost a couple nuts out of her tree. "What? I want to know," she said to dad. I laughed and said, "I'll threaten to tell granny that they disowned me if they try anything. If she finds out, she'll probably write them out of the will." "Ohhh, sounds good," she said, smiling. "Christine, would you please stop encouraging him?" dad said. "Why? After everything they've put him through, I hope he has fun with it. They both deserve it." Before dad could say anything else, I said, "Yeah, they do, and I will enjoy it." Dad shook his head and looked at me. "Remind me to never make you angry, okay?" "Don't worry dad, you and mom are the best," I said, walking up to him and giving him a hug. "You're pretty great, too. Now, go. I need those ingredients." He gave me a playful push away, and Todd and I headed to the store. After we returned, Todd and I took a quick shower with him telling me no funny business. I was slightly disappointed but understood. We decided to skip the motel fantasy and go see `The Deathly Hallows' part one, as we had been planning to see it for a while now. Before that, we tried a new restaurant, in Buckhead, and it was quite enjoyable. It was an Italian place we had heard of and passed several times but never had the chance to visit. Once the movie was over, and by the way, it was amazing, we headed out to ride for a while longer. He drove, and I held his right hand. We listened to music and talked when we felt like it, but other than that, we were just happy being together. On Sunday, Todd finally got around to showing me the internet, e-mail, and instant messaging. The internet, I knew about, but with everything he showed me, I was flabbergasted. Once my curiosity about porn was out of the way, since I was getting too excited, he showed me how to set up my e-mail. Barb and Charles never let me have an e-mail account, so it was my first, and Todd was excited to show me how it worked. "Okay, we're gonna use Yahoo for you. It's free and easy to use." "Okay," I said, trusting him. "What do you want your e-mail address to be?" he asked me. "I don't know. How about Blake Moore?" "Nah, too formal." He thought for a moment and looked at me as he did and said, "I got it." He typed in something in the sign up box and hit enter. "Yes, it worked." "What is it?" I asked. "Your e-mail address is going to be crystalblueeyes0691@yahoo.com." "Why'd you choose that name?" "Well, for your eyes and 06 and 91 for your birth month and year." "Oh, cool. Now I get it." "Yeah, now let me finish things here, and it should be up and running." He hit a few more keys on the keyboard and then finally hit the submit button and then everything worked. "Okay, you got your first e-mail address." "Cool. So, what's your e-mail address?" I asked him. "Actually, I need a new one. I've had my old one for so long, that it's full of spam. I'll make mine right now." He clicked on a few more links and finally got back to the sign up page. "Now, what do I want my screen name to be?" He thought for a few minutes and came up blank. Looking at me, he said, "I can't think of anything." I thought for a minute and said, "What about emerald eyed guy?" He looked at me and smiled and put that in. "Hey, it worked. My new e-mail address is emeraldeyedguy90@yahoo.com. "Good, send me an e-mail when you finish so I can have it." He finished up his information and then e-mailed a quick note to me. "What did you say?" "You'll find out when you sign in," he told me. "Butt," I called him. He chuckled at me and then told me about the instant message. He went and downloaded the instant messenger tool and got things set up. When he was done with that, he put the laptop in my lap and told me to hang on. He went to his pc on the desk and booted it up. When it was up and running, I asked him what I needed to do. "Nothing, just wait for a minute." "Well, how do I check my e-mail?" I asked him. At the top of the screen, it should say my screen name, then under that, there's a sign out button. Click it, and it should take you to the yahoo homepage. Once there, click on mail, then sign in." I did as I was told, and soon I was in my e-mail inbox with one message from emeraldeyedguy90. I clicked on it, and it said, "I love you, baby." I looked up at him and smiled, but didn't say anything. I hit the reply button and typed in, "You are so crazy. That's why I love you, too." Then hit the send button. As soon as I did, a box appeared on my screen, and I had no clue what is was. I looked it over and saw Todd's screen name on the top border and said, "What is this?" "That's the instant messenger program. Just type your response." In the box he had written, hello. I typed back hello, and then we got into a stupid, silly conversation while we talked to each other. He explained how to start the conversation with him when he saw me online, how to add other people and how to delete them, and what to do about spam. After my lesson on how to use the laptop, e-mail and instant messenger, I had had enough. My brain was learning a whole lot so fast that I needed to stop learning so I could retain all I had learned. When I told him that, he suggested swimming. "Can't, remember? You just got a tattoo." "Fuck, I forgot about that," he said, disappointed. "Yup. Now what?" "I don't know, but I just realized I'm hungry." I sat there for a second and felt the same. "C'mon, let's see if mom's making dinner tonight or if we're ordering in." I closed out everything on the laptop, turned it off, and headed down with Todd. "Hey, mom. What's for dinner tonight?" Todd asked. "Don't have a clue," mom said from the couch. "Y'all want something homemade or take out?" "Doesn't bother me either way," I chimed in. "Me either," Todd agreed. "Good. I'm just not in the mood to cook tonight boys. You want pizza, Chinese, or steaks?" Todd and I glanced at each other for a quick moment and knew what the other was thinking without saying a word, then looked at mom and said, in unison, "Pizza." "Fine by me," mom said. Looking at dad, she asked, "Is pizza okay with you, hon?" "Yeah, sure. Just no anchovies or jalapeņos." "Ewww, gross" I said with a wrinkled up face. "Blake and I are kinda hungry. You guys ready to order now?" Todd asked. "Yeah, I could go ahead and eat," dad said. "Me too," mom agreed. Todd got mom and dad's order and then we headed upstairs. As we were leaving, mom asked if we were going to order the pizza. Todd explained that he was going to show me how to order online. Get me deeper in the world of cyberland. We went back to the room, and he found the website and ordered two large pizzas. One for us and the other for mom and dad. Taking me through the steps, he showed me how to order the pizzas, drinks, sides, and how to tell them about any special instructions like extra cheese or no sauce or whatever. When it came time for all the information, he filled it out and then grabbed his wallet. "What are you doing?" I asked him. "Paying for it," he answered, grabbing his credit card. "Is it safe, giving your number out online?" "Yeah, as long as you see the little lock at the bottom of the screen that means it's a secure website. Should be hack proof, but nothing is completely hack proof." "If it's not completely hack proof, then why are you giving them your number?" I asked. "Because it's like ninety nine percent hack proof. I'd probably have to give them my number about ten thousand times and maybe once it might get stolen. Might be a million times, I don't know. All I know is that if you don't give them your number, you gotta call them and order. Easier this way," he finished. "Okay. You know what you're doing," I said. Once he entered his information to pay, he clicked a couple buttons, and then everything was ordered. A new screen popped up telling us it would be around an hour before our pizzas arrived. "What do we do now?" I asked. "I can think of something," Todd said, swiveling his chair around to face me. I smiled big and said, "Yeah, I bet you can." I leaned over and kissed him then climbed up on the bed and lifted my forefinger and curled it towards myself, beckoning him to me. Todd smiled and stood and lifted his shirt over his head. "No more. Leave everything else on," I said. "'Cept maybe your shoes." He kicked his shoes off, and I did the same. He crawled up the bed, running a hand up my body as he did. When he reached me, he lay down next to me and kissed me again. "Turn over, puppy," Todd looked at me, confused, but then did as I asked. Once he was in position, I scooted up next to him and put my arm under his arm and lay my hand over his chest. "You mean, we're not going to play?" he asked with a disappointed voice. "This is all I want right now. I just want to hold you." "Then why did I take off my shirt?" "I don't know. You did that on your own. Guess you thought we were going to do something else." "The sexy way you crawled up the bed and smiled at me and called me over, what else was I supposed to think?" "Is that what you want? You want to play instead of just laying here with me?" I asked, annoyed. "Well, I thought that's what you were doing?" he answered. Pulling away from him, I stood and started undressing. "Fine, if that's what you want, then fine. You want me on my stomach or back? I'll let you fuck me if it will make you feel better." "What's wrong with you? Why are you getting mad more easily?" "Me? Mad? I'm not mad. I just wanted to hold my boyfriend for a while, because I like doing that. But you want to fuck, so, now that I'm naked, fuck me." I got on the bed and put my knees under my stomach, putting my ass in the air and put my head on the pillow. I turned to look at him and saw he wasn't moving. "Well?" I asked. "God, Blake. You can be such an asshole sometimes." "No, that's what you want, is to fuck," I said, getting off the bed and putting my pants on. "I just wanted to lay with you for a while. Seeing as we only have about a month left before you leave, I wanted us to just be together. Not just have sex all the time. And for your information, I wasn't the asshole this time." I grabbed my shirt and stormed out the door, down the stairs, and out to the pool. When I got there, I plopped down in one of the chairs and closed my eyes. About five minutes later, he started speaking. "I'm sorry. I thought that since I said that I could think of something for us to do, and you got on the bed, that you were thinking the same thing." Without opening my eyes, I said, "This time, I wasn't. Just wanted to hold you, but that wasn't good enough." I heard him walk from behind me to the front of me and say, "Blake, don't be like this. I misread your signals. I'm sorry." I opened my eyes and looked at him and said, "You made me feel like a slut just now." "How?" he asked, shocked. "It's like, all you think about recently is sex. I love the sex, don't get me wrong, but sometimes, I just want to touch you or hold you without it leading there. When you said that's what you wanted after I told you I just wanted to hold you, I felt like a whore, not a boyfriend." He crouched down and put his hands on my knees. "Blake, I'm sorry, honest. I never meant to make you feel that way. Like you said, I'm leaving in about a month, and I guess I just want us to spend more time together too. And, yeah, I was kinda hoping for more sex, since neither of us will be getting any while I'm gone. But I never meant to make you feel like a whore." "Well, you did," I said. "And I'm sorry. Listen, can we go back upstairs and do this again?" "Why?" "Because I want to lay my head on your bicep. I want to feel your arms pull me close to you. I want to hear you breathing in my ear. I want to feel your body completely against mine." "What if I don't want to? What if the mood has passed?" "Then I would beg of you to forgive me and let me hold you instead." As I was contemplating whether or not to recreate the mood, Todd lifted his hand and brushed my bangs out of my eyes. Running a finger over my nose until it rested on my lips, I couldn't help but smile. I kissed his fingertip and said, "Okay. Let's try this again." He gave me a goofy smile, stood and reached out his hand for me to take. Back in our room, I changed my mind and wanted him to hold me. As I got into position, he pressed his body against mine and wrapped a powerful arm around me and pulled me close. Hearing his breathing in my ear, I dozed off after just a few minutes. Mom ended up coming and getting us. She didn't know that she would have to wake us, as we had become so relaxed, we both dozed off. After eating, we decided to hang out and watch some TV with mom and dad before heading off to bed around nine. Nothing too exciting happened the following week. We both had to work and then had our time at night. We were basically waiting for Friday to come. When it did, we were excited, and I was nervous. "Why are you nervous?" he asked, packing some clothes in a suitcase. "Because of Charles and Barbara." "Don't let them worry you. Remember, all you have to do is tell Granny, and it'll all stop." "I know, but still, since dad didn't show up last week, I don't even know if I want to face him now." He dropped his clothes on the bed and came to me. Putting his hands on my shoulders, he said, "You are there to help celebrate your grandmother's birthday, not deal with any family issues. Just relax and have a good time, okay?" "You're right. I'm gonna try." "And Mitch will be there too, so you know you'll have him as back up as well as me." "True. You know that I'll be introducing you as my friend, right?" "I figured as much, and I understand why." "Good. I didn't want to hurt your feelings if you weren't expecting it." "Nah, it's cool," he said, going back to finish packing. "I hope we can find a hotel, close to Granny's place." "We did. I already booked the room. I got a king size bed for us." "What? How did you know where to look?" "Mitch gave me the address when I mentioned a hotel room. I searched and found one about five miles from her place." "Internet, right?" I asked. "Of course," he said, smiling. We finished packing and said goodbye to mom and dad and got on the road. After getting through rush hour traffic and below the perimeter, it was smooth sailing for four more hours. When we arrived at the hotel, Todd went in to check us in, and after getting the keys, he drove and parked near an entrance and headed up to the room. Once inside, I looked it over, and it was a nice room despite being in a smaller hotel. I put things away, and Todd put up the suitcase. Afterwards, we both stripped down and crawled into bed. Wrapping his arms around me, he kissed my cheek and told me he loved me. I told him I loved him too, closed my eyes, and was soon off in dream land. To Be Continued. . . . .
